Job Summary
We’re looking for a skilled and dedicated BIM Modeler (Mechanical) with solid experience in Mechanical systems. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing detailed BIM models, actively collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and upholding high standards of model integrity and project documentation. This position requires a strong grasp of BIM workflows, effective problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous learning and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and detail 3D BIM models for Mechanical systems using Revit MEP, ensuring accuracy up to LOD 500.
- Perform review and quality assurance of BIM models, ensuring strict alignment with project scope and timelines.
- Prepare comprehensive coordination drawings, shop drawings, and accurate as-built documentation.
- Utilize cloud-based platforms (e.g., BIM 360) for efficient model sharing, collaborative review, and systematic issue management.
- Conduct clash detection and resolution using Navisworks Manage or BIM 360, and meticulously track identified issues to closure.
- Actively participate in internal coordination and review meetings, providing technical input and support.
- Develop and manage Revit families, project templates, and ensure compliance with established BIM standards and protocols.
- Analyze input design documents, identify ambiguities, and raise timely Requests for Information (RFIs) to resolve design discrepancies.
- Assist in generating accurate quantity take-offs, schedules, and various reports directly from BIM models.
- Ensure proper documentation, regular model updates, and model integrity checks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Actively participate in collaborative project teams involving multidisciplinary engineers and architects, fostering an environment of effective communication and teamwork.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in BIM software including Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage, and BIM 360.
- Strong understanding of Electrical systems (Power, Lighting, Low Voltage), building construction methodologies, and project workflows.
- Hands-on experience with BIM clash coordination, resolution, and issue tracking.
- Familiarity with international building codes and standards
- Practical experience with 4D/5D BIM tools and scripting capabilities
- Working knowledge of automation scripts, parametric family libraries, and template standards.
- Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards, Common Data Environments (CDE), and federated model management principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and sound decision-making ability.
- Strong interpersonal and team collaboration capabilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize effectively.
Education & Experience
- Diploma/Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in BIM Modeling, specifically within the Electrical domain.
Required
Experience in Gulf Projects. Preferred in US/UK and other international projects.
