Project Summary
Conserve Solutions conducted a detailed surge analysis for the district cooling network piping systems, including firefighting, chilled water, and potable water lines. The analysis involved transient fluid simulations to evaluate pressure surges resulting from pump start-up and trip events, ensuring the network’s resilience to sudden hydraulic transients.
Critical parameters such as surge pressures were calculated across the chilled water and firefighting piping, confirming the system’s ability to maintain safe operational pressures. Surge tanks were introduced as a mitigation measure to manage pressure fluctuations effectively.
This project highlights Conserve’s expertise in hydraulic transient modeling and surge control strategies, critical for maintaining the integrity and safety of municipal and commercial district cooling infrastructure.
