  • CFD Analysis of Emergency Ventilation Ducting

Project Summary

Conserve Solutions performed a comprehensive Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis of the emergency ventilation ducting system within the Qatar Metro Station Facility. A detailed 3D model of the entire ducting system was developed, accurately representing all geometry and layout features. Boundary conditions were defined, including fan speeds, system pressures, and friction losses.

The CFD simulation analysed static pressure distribution across various sections of the ducting system, pinpointing areas with suction pressures below operational requirements. Based on these findings, Conserve provided engineering recommendations to address the non-conformances, ensuring effective emergency ventilation performance and passenger safety.

This project highlights Conserve’s capability in optimizing critical ventilation systems for underground transit infrastructure, supporting safety and regulatory compliance within complex metro environments.
