- Outdoor Thermal Comfort Analysis for Conditioned Spaces
Project Summary
Conserve Solutions conducted advanced 3D thermal comfort analysis for the Corinthia Hotel, Beach Club, and Villa spaces on Gewan Island. The modeling included detailed simulations accounting for wind speed, direction, air outlet locations, temperature, relative humidity, and airflow rates. Boundary conditions and input parameters were defined to accurately replicate outdoor conditioned space environments.
The analysis focused on understanding airflow patterns and identifying thermal hotspots across outdoor seating and pedestrian areas. Based on the results, engineering recommendations were provided to mitigate discomfort and enhance thermal comfort, ensuring an optimal guest experience in outdoor conditioned areas.
This project showcases Conserve Solutions’ expertise in climate-responsive design and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for luxury resort environments, aligning with Gewan Island’s vision of upscale, sustainable hospitality amidst Qatar’s arid climate.
