Project Summary
The project involved the development of equipment service connection routes for an industrial manufacturing facility in Bicester, supporting the coordination of complex services within the production hall. The scope focused on developing practical service routes from the identified connection points to the required equipment locations while maintaining coordination with the overall building design.
Conserve developed the initial conceptual routing and coordinated high-power electrical cables, cable trunking, ELV services, and multiple gas pipe services, including the required isolation arrangements, service clearances, and equipment connections. The coordinated services were reviewed against the architectural, structural, and equipment requirements to ensure constructability and maintainability.
The agreed service routes were incorporated into a LOD 400 coordinated BIM model, providing detailed information suitable for construction and installation. The model was subsequently used to develop and produce detailed shop drawings, supporting accurate site installation and equipment service coordination.
The design and coordination were developed in accordance with applicable industrial standards and local UK regulations.
